Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great Summer so far. My daughter’s last day of school was May 25th and we surprised her with a little vacation as a reward for her good grades. We took her to Sevierville, TN which is a 3-4 hour drive from the Nashville area. We stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies which is a water park resort. It was our first time staying in a water park resort so we were all very excited about it. Here are some pictures from our vacation:
This is a picture of my daughter trying the rock wall at Wilderness at the Smokies. The resort has 1 indoor water park, 2 outdoor water parks and an indoor arcade/fun center.
There was a rope course in the fun center as well and it was my daughter’s favorite thing to do there. She was up there for almost an hour every day.
This is a picture from the indoor water park. They have a kid’s area, 4 water slides, wave pool, sports pool and hot tub. We did all the water slides and played in most of the pools except for the hot tub.
This is a picture of 1 of their outdoor water parks. We cruised along their lazy river, played in the wave pool and did one of the water slides.
Sevierville is 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge so one day we ventured down that way to visit The Christmas Place. This store is the largest Christmas store in the South. While we were there my daughter wrote a page-long letter to Santa.
We also visited Wonderworks which is like a very cool science/interactive museum.
They had a rock wall climb and my daughter made it all the way to the top!
They also had a glow-in-the-dark ropes course which my daughter did try but she didn’t like it because it was so dark.
We had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Joe’s Crab Shack.
While driving around Pigeon Forge I spotted this store and I just had to go in.
Walking through the door I was blown away but how many bags this place had. They have everything from small purses to suitcases. It was amazing. I was overwhelmed but I did walk out with 2 crossbody bags for my daughter for less than $20.
It was a short trip. We were only there for 4 days but it was a lot of fun.
